A recent survey conducted into cyber bullying amongst students in Grades 6 to 11 reveals alarming issues which parents and educators must be aware of and need to urgently address.
Cyber bullying is taking place by peers and students at their school and in their communities. These interactions are beyond the reach of monitoring and parental vigilance.
The problem with Cyber bullying is it can be hard to speak up and tell someone in authority what is going on because it is almost impossible to be objective when someone is being cyber bullied.

Tell someone in authority - Police, Parents
If you're threatened at school tell the principal and don't erase the messages they may be needed to take action against the bully
Don't open or read messages from cyber bullies
Protect yourself: Never agree to meet face to face with anyone you meet online
If bullied through chat or instant messaging, the "bully" can often be blocked
